Buddy — collect references from anywhere
Buddy is the Chrome extension for Agentic Hat. Say “use the browser” and the agent searches, picks and brings the results back into your conversation — or collect images yourself by hovering, into Mood Boards.
Install Buddy
Add Buddy from the Chrome Web Store — one click, and it updates itself.
Let the agent use your browser
Say “use the browser” in the chat and the agent opens the site, searches, scrolls, reads the page, collects the product photos, and takes a screenshot to check its own work — the screenshot shows up right in the chat. It can also work on a tab you already have open.
- Find: open a site (or use your open tab), type into the search box, press Enter, click, hover, scroll for more.
- See: read the page’s text and interactive elements; screenshot the page so you see what it saw.
- Take: pull the product photos into the conversation’s image workspace, then have it pick or generate from them.
- Put back: drop a generated image into a file-upload field on the page — a product listing, a marketplace form, a CMS.
- Tidy up: tabs it opened are grouped under “👀 Buddy”, so you can close the whole group when you’re done.
It asks first, site by site. Before it reads a site for the first time — and again before it interacts with one — Agentic Hat asks you. Allowed sites are listed in the side-panel settings and can be revoked anytime. Password fields are always refused, and it can only close or redirect tabs it opened itself; your own tabs are never touched.
Clip an image
On any website, hover over an image and Buddy pops up on it. Click it to collect the image. Open Agentic Hat and the latest one is added to your conversation automatically — as an uploaded reference.
The side panel
Everything you collect lands in Buddy's side panel — your references, grouped into boards. Select what you want and send it to the chat.

Mood Boards
Use Add to Mood Board… to group references into boards, then add a whole board to the chat whenever you’re ready. In the side panel, tap the circle on several images to pick them and add them in one go.
Create in a style
Add to chat with style prompt also pre-fills a style-analysis prompt — it studies the palette, light and mood of your references so you can describe what you want and create in that style. You can customize the prompt in the panel settings.
They arrive as references. Clipped images land as uploaded reference images on your current conversation — the same ones covered in
Reference images.
Good to know
- The same image collected twice is de-duplicated automatically.
- Want the newest features first? Grab the preview build from the Buddy page.
- The style prompt is fully editable — tune it in the panel settings.
- Curious what Buddy can access? See the Extension Privacy Policy.
- The collect button only shows on images at least 128px — change the minimum size, or disable Buddy per-site, in Settings.
- These actions use page events, which most sites accept; a few strongly-guarded sites may not react — the agent will tell you so rather than pretend it worked.
